Nurse III (County Coordinating Nurse)

This is a time limited position. Nurse III (County Coordinating Nurse) is responsible for directing public health nursing services at Sunflower County Health Department. Duties include all duties of the county staff nurse or float nurse, planning, directing, and supervising the work of county staff nurses and medical aides; monitoring the overall performance and clinic operations of assigned clinics and initiating corrective action as indicated;

preparing reports and other documentation for submission to an administrative superior.

Candidate must have excellent supervisory, team-building, multitasking, organizational, and communication skills; prioritize work to meet deadlines and be an effective team player. Knowledge of MSDH programs and using that knowledge effectively to assist clients and/or patients are important.

Preferred Qualifications:

Typically requires state licensure as a Registered Nurse and 2+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
