The Host at IHOP is responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and providing excellent customer service to ensure a positive dining experience for all guests.
Key Responsibilities:- Greet guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Seat guests in a timely and efficient manner
- Manage reservations and waitlist
- Answer phone calls and take reservations over the phone
- Provide guests with menus and answer any questions about the menu
- Assist servers with bussing tables and resetting them for the next guests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and lobby area
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a professional manner
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
