This position combines a commitment to customer satisfaction with providing consistent, quality service to promote professionalism. Responsibilities include performing light cleaning duties to maintain cleanliness and order in commercial establishments, and promoting sanitary and safety conditions to prevent contamination and injuries.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires good physical health. The employee must be able to lift, carry, walk, sit, stand, push, and pull, often during a flexible schedule. The ability to move continuously and lift up to 25 pounds is necessary. Standing for long periods, up to 10 hours a day, is expected.

Duties:

• Greet and serve customers, including processing credit/debit cards, coupons, and cash
• Operate POS devices to complete sales transactions
• Assist with inventory control
• Clean and restock restrooms
• Sweep and mop interior floors
• Pick up litter from exterior sidewalks, parking areas, and driveways
• Clean and restock refrigerated coolers
• Check date codes and front merchandise on store displays
• Clean and restock gasoline and diesel dispensers and island valets
• Empty waste receptacles
• Clean storefront windows and entry doors
• Maintain and restock boiled peanuts merchandiser (if applicable)
• Prepare, cook, and serve deli food items
• Brew coffee and tea
• Clean coffee and tea urns
• Manage retail inventory and supply deliveries
• Bag ice to restock ice merchandiser
• Clean and restock fountain area, including drink dispensers with BIB syrup and ice
• Gauge gasoline and diesel fuel storage tanks
• Record shift receipts, prepare safes, and complete shift reports
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by management
• Observe and comply with all Burns and Burns Inc. policies and procedures
