Role Overview
The Sales Associate serves as a primary contact for customers, assisting with merchandise selection, operating the cash register, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting shoppers.
- Operate cash register, handle transactions, and assist with bagging merchandise.
- Follow merchandise processes—unpack, stock, rotate, and display products.
- Maintain store cleanliness, including cleaning floors, restrooms, and setting up displays.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Understanding of safety policies and basic cash handling procedures.
- Ability to read planograms, perform basic math, and operate cash registers.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift up to 40-55 pounds, and perform repetitive movements.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Working ConditionsFrequent standing, bending, and handling merchandise in a fast-paced environment; occasional exposure to outside weather and heights using ladders.
