General Function
The Person al Banker II position will provide an exceptional customer experience by building and maintaining long‑lasting relationships with existing and prospective customers. The banker will help customers understand and address their financial needs, providing solutions that span the customer's lifecycle through our consultative sales and service process. They are responsible for risk management through open discussion, compliance with policies, and ethical conduct.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Create a memorable customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships in an assigned book of business through proactive outreach in person, over the phone, or other appropriate channels.
- Use a consultative approach to uncover and identify customer needs while tailoring recommendations, solutions, and advice.
- Maintain working knowledge of products, services, and processes offered.
- Collaborate with internal partners to ensure customer needs are met and all problems are resolved.
- Analyze customer credit data and other financial information to ensure appropriate solutions aligned with customer needs.
- Provide support on new and existing technology offerings.
- Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and related policies, modeling ethical behavior expected of all employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma/GED with 1 year customer service experience, college degree, or equivalent military experience.
- Experience in a sales environment; financial industry experience is a plus.
- Ability to acquire comfort level with new household acquisitions and deepen customer relationships.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills representing Fifth Third Bank.
- Analytical skills to interpret credit and financial information.
- Business acumen and sound decision‑making ability.
- Must be registered under the S.A.F.E. Act at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
Normal office environment, extended computer screen viewing, periodic travel within the Bancorp footprint to attend meetings and/or training.
