(This is NOT a job on a gas or oil pipeline)
General Summary of the Position: Perform tasks involving physical labor on trenchless CIPP pipeline rehabilitation and construction projects. Operate hand and power tools, assist other craft workers.
Essential Functions:
- Perform strenuous manual labor in heavy construction projects
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
- Cut brush and clear ground around pipes and manholes
- Roll up hoses and lay hoses flat
- Set up and perform traffic control at sites
- Cut pipe ends out of manholes
- Operate hand and power tools
- Maintain a clean and safe job site
- Follow safety procedures and report issues
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of heavy construction equipment, materials, and safety precautions
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Physically capable of lifting heavy objects, walking, standing, and performing strenuous labor
- Dependable with attendance and punctuality
Required Education, Training, and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license; willingness to obtain CDL
- Willingness to perform manual work following instructions
Work Environment:
- Work near moving machinery and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must lift, push, pull objects, and have good manual dexterity
- Noise levels are loud; good stamina required
