Facility Maintenance Technician

Coast Electric is seeking a skilled and dependable Facility Maintenance Technician to help maintain our facilities, grounds, and infrastructure. This position plays a vital role in ensuring our buildings, equipment, and properties remain safe, functional, and well maintained for employees, members, and visitors.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform general maintenance, repair, and improvement of Coast Electric and Coast Connect facilities and grounds.
  • Troubleshoot and complete repairs involving building systems, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and related components.
  • Install, maintain, and repair facility infrastructure, equipment, fixtures, and grounds.
  • Assist with construction, renovation, and facility improvements projects.
  • Support communication and technology infrastructure by assisting with cable installation and troubleshooting.
  • Prepare facilities and grounds for company meetings, events, and operational needs.
  • Maintain a safe work environment while following all company safety policies and procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; high school diploma preferred.
  • Experience in building maintenance, construction, facilities maintenance, or related field preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and general business maintenance.
  • Basic understanding of computer programs including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), timekeeping software, and other electronic systems.
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, holiday, and weekend when needed or in emergency situations, as Coast Electric is designated as an essential business and/or emergency responder.
