Walmart is recruiting a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repair of refrigeration HVAC equipment across its local retail stores. The role requires strong commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, use of hand, power, and digital tools, and the ability to respond quickly to maintenance needs.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility’s refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills.
• Use the work order management system to receive, document, and support repair work orders for stores and associates.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, and test facility equipment to diagnose issues.
• Complete required safety and equipment training.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart’s safety policy.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, use ladders, and work comfortably at heights.

• Hourly rate: $23.00–$45.00, based on qualifications and location.
• Bonuses and premiums may apply (up to $3.00 per hour).
• Individual compensation packages reflect skill set, experience, and other factors.

• 2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance or large‑scale rack refrigeration.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR check.
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2–4 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a commercial HVAC/R or building controls environment.

• Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located.
