Position: Industrial Electrician (Lumberton)
Location: Lumberton

Essential Responsibilities Safety & Compliance

  • Perform all work in accordance with company safety policies, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Lockout/Tagout procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, NEC, OSHA, and company electrical standards.
  • Promote a safe working environment and properly document completed work.
Electrical Maintenance
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment to minimize production downtime.
  • Diagnose failures in motors, MCCs, VFDs, instrumentation, sensors, and control circuits.
  • Install, modify, commission, inspect, test, calibrate, and maintain electrical equipment.
  • Read, interpret, and update electrical schematics and drawings.
  • Utilize multimeters, meggers, oscilloscopes, process meters, loop calibrators, and clamp meters.
  • Perform electrical calculations using Ohm's Law.
Automation & Controls
  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and machine automation systems.
  • Diagnose PLCs, HMIs, industrial networks, VFDs, servo systems, and safety circuits.
  • Modify PLC/HMI programs as required.
  • Assist with commissioning new equipment and continuous improvement projects.
Equipment Support
  • Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns.
  • Perform machine calibrations.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Technicians and Millwrights.
  • Operate forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other mobile equipment safely.
  • Complete work orders accurately and on time.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Formal electrical education, apprenticeship, NCCER, military training, or equivalent industrial experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work overtime and rotating shifts.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Rockwell Automation (Studio 5000, Factory Talk View, RSLogix, CCW)
  • Yaskawa Drive Wizard
  • Drive Explorer
  • ABB and Fanuc robotics
  • Delta motion controllers
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting
  • Analog/digital instrumentation and calibration
  • Servo systems and motion control
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Strong understanding of electrical theory and three-phase power.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Physical Requirements
  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in hot, cold, dusty, and noisy manufacturing environments. Must be able to tolerate all weather elements, loud conditions, vibrations, and airborne particles (sawdust).
