The State of Mississippi is seeking candidates for a position at Ellisville State School, a regional program providing comprehensive services to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The mission of the agency is to enrich the lives of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing a foundation of independence and empowerment.
The selected candidate will be responsible for providing indirect and direct clinical services to each person served as assigned by the unit Director of Psychology or designee. Examples of work include individualized behavioral intervention with each person, data management, reliability probes of scatter plot data, participating in scheduled active treatment, monitoring implementation of Behavior and Integrated Support Plans, and in services staff on program related intervention methods.
What you'll need to be successful includes efficient organizational and time management skills, good oral and written communication skills, positive work morale, ability to be flexible in thinking and problem solving, realistic expectations about the difficulty and challenges of the work, and the ability to handle an often-unpredictable work environment.
Preferred qualifications typically require a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and two to four years of experience.
