The Logistics Specialist (LS) is tasked with packing, crating and shipping UAM inventory, worldwide. The LS also:

• Verify items to be received into inventory; both physical and remote receiving
• Responsible for the packing and unpacking of unit(s) for receiving and shipping
• Ensure accurate and concise documentation for receiving and shipping
• Receives into inventory Repair Orders, RMAs, and UAM Purchase Orders, and enters Air Waybills into receiving log when delivered
• Utilizes shipping software (e.g., Fed Ex Ship Manager, UPS World Ship) to optimize shipping and transport procedures
• Accounts for the safety and accuracy of UAM outgoing shipments worldwide
• Coordinates the delivery of components and related assemblies to UAM customers
• Administers and abides by UAM’s logistics program in accordance with relevant regulations
• Creates a manifest for components to be received or shipped for 3rd party customers
• Communicates effectively with other UAM departments, as needed
• Monitors and achieves logistics metrics (KPI) set by warehouse management
• Familiarity with UAM’s Quality Control Manual and related policies; suggests incremental improvements to increase efficiency
• Performs receiving and shipping audits/cycle counts as requested
• Abides by the posted AOG (Aircraft On Ground) schedule and maintains availability during AOG periods
• Performs other duties as assigned

Reports to:

GDC Director/Manager

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to analyze data, search for errors and autonomously work toward solutions
• Ability to work against critical deadlines and multi-task
• Goal-oriented, persuasive, and capable of working independently and in a team
• Warehouse & Inventory experience is a plus
• Aviation experience is a plus
• Computer skills are a plus, especially Microsoft Office Suite, with attention to detail
