Job Overview

Dispatcher (Night) – Star, MS – Filling industrial – Dry-ice. Pay: $34–37 per hour.

Schedule:

Friday–Tuesday 9:00pm–7:00am (on‑call one weekend per month). Airgas is hiring a Dispatcher Supervisor/Lead.

• Support route assignments and balance partnership with production team.
• Guide driver training for DOT compliance, regulations, company rules, and internal processes.
• Update customers regularly on delivery statuses and assist with providing tender.
• Coordinate with and support drivers while updating necessary information electronically.
• Provide ongoing support, guidance, and assistance to drivers as needed.
• Determine driver routes, destinations, vehicle assignments, and timelines for transporting freight.
• Coordinate regular truck maintenance and service needs with the shop team.
• Monitor Hours of Service and provide active oversight and stewardship of freight loading to ensure safety processes are met.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in transportation management software and related programs.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proven experience in transportation dispatching or a related field.
• Forklift experience or a willingness to gain experience (explicitly stated as a “must‑have”).
