Job Overview

Regular Tunista Operations Support Services LLC is recruiting for a full-time (40 hours per week) Driver/System Operator (DSO) at Columbus AFB, Columbus, Mississippi. The position may require up to 40 hours a week and occasional evenings and weekends.

• Dispense aviation and ground fuel as directed by the Fuels Control Center.
• Refuel and defuel transient aircraft and support fuel tanks for the organization.
• Operate 5,000- and 1,000-gallon refueling fuel servicing vehicles.
• Comply with all technical and safety procedures related to fuel handling operations.
• Accurately document fuel products received and dispensed, completing applicable forms and closing out paperwork (night shift).
• Monitor fueling equipment for abnormal conditions during servicing operations.
• Document discrepancies on inspection forms and report them to the preventive maintenance supervisor.
• Assist with vehicle checkpoint operations and perform first-echelon preventive maintenance.
• Conduct daily corrosion control on the refueling fleet.
• Obtain and test fuel samples in accordance with 42B-1-1.
• Assist in training newly assigned personnel.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, occupational safety, and security programs.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of prior experience in an aviation fuel field.
• Ability to work for extended periods in the local outdoor environment.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

• Strong oral and written communication skills for presenting information and responding to questions from managers, co-workers, and customers.

• Reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Reading and interpreting general and governmental instructions and regulations.
• Valid Mississippi Driver's License.
• United States citizenship with a current class B driver's license for the job locality, HAZMAT and tanker endorsements.
• Possession and maintenance of a Secret Security Clearance.
• Pass background investigation and pre-employment drug test.
