Job Title
Assist Smithway Driver in the following tasks:
- Deliver chicks from hatchery to the broiler farms four days per week.
- Perform daily pre-trip inspections of tractor/trailer and Moffett.
- Complete checklist to ensure that all equipment is working properly prior to loading chicks into trailer.
- Responsible for getting any repairs needed and reporting any problems with equipment.
- Place the chicks in the poultry houses at the farms.
- Clean and wash truck on Wednesday and trailer daily after chick hauling.
- Get chick delivery ticket and mortality sheet from chick room lead. Deliver mortality sheet to each grower.
Able to operate Moffett.
Lift at least 20 lbs.
Arrive on time at 6:30 a.m. and stay until the last chick load is delivered.
Read and write English and perform basic math functions.
Effectively communicate with others.
