Material Handler, Distribution/ General Warehouse
Overview
The Distribution Center Material Handler is responsible for performing various general warehouse duties. Material handlers will operate cross‑functionally throughout the distribution center to ensure efficient running of the distribution center in order to meet customer needs.
Leadership Responsibilities- This position does not have people leadership responsibilities.
- Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage. Load docks, delivery vehicles, or containers by using tractors or other equipment
- Scan, pick, pack, and restock inventory
- Inspect, audit, and enter returned goods for credit
- Participate in cycle counts and ensure merchandise is located daily
- Induct and ticket apparel and merchandise for easy identification
- Break down waves for order fulfillment
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Embodies and demonstrates company ethics and values
- Abides by all federal, state and local laws
- Knowledge of processing of materials and quality control for maximizing the distribution of goods
- Knowledge of public safety procedures of relevant equipment, policies, and strategies to protect people and data
- Knowledge of principles and process for providing customer service, including needs assessments and meeting quality standards
- Skilled at managing administrative and clerical procedures such as managing files and records, and general office procedures
- Skilled at time management and managing time between various tasks
- Skilled at problem solving and developing options to implement solutions
- Able to produce ideas and develop ways to solve problems
- Able to understand perceptual vision by identifying objects that are in close proximity
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent work experience (preferred)
- 1‑2 years of experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment (preferred)
- Computer skills:
Ability to use/understand RF Scanner - WMS experience (preferred)
- Computer skills:
Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Teams, Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) (preferred)

Works in a warehouse facility that is clean, orderly, properly lighted, temperate and ventilated. Noise levels are considered moderate.
