Your Day at Lowe'sAs a warehouse Team Member, you ll build a range of skills and play a crucial role in ensuring that our stores, customers, and communities receive the products they need. You will be expected to perform tasks efficiently and work with others as part of a team. All team members are expected to follow safety regulations and procedures.
Warehouse Team Members work in diverse departments, including Building, Shipping, and Receiving.
Key Responsibilities- Maintains inventory accuracy by executing daily cycle counts; investigates discrepancies
- Completes and organizes annual inventory count sampling of the facility
- Adjusts inventory value losses and gains; reconciles consignment purchases or losses
- Resolves issues in the warehouse management system; resolves missing license plate numbers (LPN)
- Processes consignment buy-over; conducts vendor audits of consignment materials; adjusts inventory from cycle counts or vendor audits
- Investigates and resolves store claims for damaged product or missing/overage shipments
- Processes new product or updates dimensions of existing product in the warehouse management system
- Assists vendors performing cycle counts of inventory
- Handles returned merchandise that goes back to the vendor or back to the distribution center
- Handles customer service calls from stores, such as special order sales (SOS) orders, vendor calls, proposed product shipment dates, etc.
- Updates and prints SOS orders daily
- Team members may work evening, overnight, and weekend shifts, with voluntary and scheduled overtime as needed (additional pay for overtime).
- Physical fitness to move continuously throughout the facility, lift up to 70 pounds, and operate power equipment.
- Adherence to safety protocols, wearing necessary personal protective equipment.
- Ability to work in varying conditions, from extreme temperatures to noisy environments.
- Strong safety orientation and ability to work independently or within a team.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in distribution center operations or warehouse settings.
- Proficiency in operating power equipment (e.g., forklift, reach truck).
- Detail-oriented with experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math, reading comprehension, and computer skills.
- Spatial reasoning for effective product positioning.
- Available to work a set schedule that may be changed by management based on the facility s needs.
- May be asked to work mornings, afternoons, nights, and/or weekends based on the facility s needs.
Environmental factors vary by location. You may be working inside or outside, with exposure to varying climates, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions. You may be exposed to constant or intermittent noises and to moving or shaking objects and equipment. Lifting methods vary by role, with a general limit of 70 pounds for single lifts.
Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
