Civil Estimator

Reveal Excavation is looking for motivated and experienced Project Estimator/Manager to work in the Missoula Area.

We are a medium sized company that performs a variety of work ranging from road construction, deep utility installation, foundation and building pad excavation for commercial site development.

Qualifications:

• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Minimum 5 years Foreman/Supervising experience
• Must have at least 2 years Estimating experience
• Heavy Bid experience (preferred not required)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Ability to read and thoroughly understand construction plans and specifications
• Must be able to multi-task
• Experience and extensive knowledge in a variety of civil construction activities. i.e. Sewer, water, site development, etc.
• Must have good computer skills
• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
• Ability to problem solve and communicate corrective actions quickly and effectively
• Ability to work flexible schedules as project estimate demands fluctuate
• Ability to display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members and customers

Role Overview :
This position is responsible to and will need to display a professional and courteous attitude with customers and team members.

• Attend pre-bid meetings and view project sites, review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work required in preparing bid/estimate proposal
• Determine equipment, labor and materials required to complete project and use information to prepare bid/estimate proposal.
• Submit completed estimate proposals to municipalities, owners, and/or general contractors in a timely and professional manner and provide any additional information as needed.
• Provide project management of awarded contracts.
• Coordinate with Superintendent and/or Foreman, and provide indirect or direct supervision of project objectives, procedures, schedules and performance requirements.
• Track production of quantities and value of work estimated/completed to support forecasting for future project estimating.
• Provide support throughout project construction including scheduling, work efficiency, change orders, etc.
• Manage subcontractor contracts and work performance.
• Supervise and discuss production problems with Superintendent and/or Foreman. Problem solve equipment expense, material quantities, operations, etc.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
