It is the vision of Blackfeet Community College to strengthen and enrich our Blackfeet Nation and universal community through quality education integrating the Nii-tsi-ta-pi World of Knowledge. Our purpose at Blackfeet Community College is to provide the Blackfeet Nation and our “universal community” access to quality educational programs that prepare students for achievement in higher education, meaningful employment, basic skills instruction, and community education, while integrating the Blackfeet culture and language.
The Ameri Corps member will serve at Blackfeet Community College to support student success initiatives, strengthen campus and community engagement, and assist with programs that address barriers to student retention and completion. Montana Campus Network for Civic Engagement (MCNCE) serves as the intermediary for this project.
MCNCE is a coalition of colleges and universities dedicated to fostering civic engagement, service learning, and volunteerism across Montana. Led by CEOs from participating institutions, MCNCE works to improve community life and educate students on civic and social responsibility, preparing them to be thoughtful, compassionate, and engaged leaders.
