POSITION DESCRIPTION
AREA: Coach
- Robotics
REPORTS TO: 6-8
Principal
SUMMARY OF ASSIGNMENT:
- Directs the robotics program within policies set by the Administration of Target Range School
- Organizes all facets of the program, creating a harmonious team
- Establishes basic philosophies, ensuring development and integration within district vision
- Acts as an appropriate role model for middle school youth.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possesses high school diploma or its equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certified teacher
- Possesses previous coaching experience
- Possesses competition experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):
- Directs the program within policies set by the Administration of Target Range School
- Organizes all facets of the program, unifies all the various parts, philosophies, and staff into a harmonious concerted team
- Establishes basic philosophies, ensuring development and integrating with district philosophy—both with the various skill sets as well as academics standards
- Acts as an appropriate role model for middle school youth
- Demonstrates ability to be punctual, dependable, and a self-starter
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical requirements indicated below are examples of the physical aspects that this position classification must perform in carrying out essential job functions:
- Persons performing service in this position will exert 10 to 50 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- This type of work involves walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods of time as required by situations of job position
- Perceiving the nature of sound, near and far vision, depth perception, providing oral and written information, the manual dexterity to move related equipment, and the skills necessary to handle and work with various materials and objects are important aspects of this job

EVALUATION:
Performance of said duties will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
