To ensure that all Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) operations are carried out in compliance with company procedures, international codes/standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements. The NDT QC Engineer is responsible for monitoring, auditing, and controlling the quality and compliance aspects of NDT activities across projects.
Responsibilities Compliance & Monitoring- Oversee day-to-day NDT operations to ensure compliance with approved procedures, codes (ASME, API, AWS, ISO, etc.), and client specifications.
- Verify that NDT personnel are qualified, certified, and deployed as per project and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure calibration and validity of all NDT equipment and accessories.
- Review and approve NDT procedures, method statements, and inspection test plans.
- Validate NDT reports and ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance with standards.
- Participate in quality audits (internal, client, and third-party).
- Identify non-conformances in NDT operations and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Maintain NDT records, reports, and traceability documentation for all projects.
- Prepare compliance reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and technical deviation notes when required.
- Provide weekly and monthly compliance monitoring reports to the QA/QC Manager.
- Provide guidance to NDT technicians and supervisors regarding compliance requirements.
- Support project teams in interpretation of codes, standards, and client specifications.
- Assist in client and regulatory audits/inspections. >
- Monitor industry developments and update management on changes in codes, standards, or regulatory requirements.
- Recommend improvements to company NDT processes to enhance compliance, efficiency, and safety.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in NDT/QA/QC roles in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Power industries.
- Certified in NDT methods (minimum ASNT Level II in RT, UT, MT, PT; Level III preferred).
- Knowledge of applicable international codes and standards (ASME, API, AWS, ISO, etc.).
- Strong understanding of Radiation Safety Regulations and NDT-related regulatory requirements.
- Experience in client and third-party audits.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent knowledge of NDT techniques and applications.
- Good communication and reporting skills (English mandatory, Arabic preferred for KSA).
- Ability to train and mentor junior NDT staff.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.
