Operational Account Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage daily transportation operations for assigned customer accounts while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and service execution.
• Coordinate and expedite freight movements to fulfill customer transportation requirements.
• Serve as a primary operational point of contact for customers regarding shipment activity, service updates, and issue resolution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, and internal operational teams.
• Independently assess operational situations and resolve issues in the best interest of both the customer and the company.
• Provide reporting, shipment updates, and operational metrics to customers as requested.
• Collaborate with Account Managers and operational teams to ensure proper load coverage and maximize carrier utilization opportunities.
• Audit system data throughout the billing process, including shipment validation and load accuracy.
• Track shipments proactively and communicate pertinent load information to customers and internal stakeholders.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in logistics, transportation brokerage, supply chain, or a related operational environment (preferred).
• Experience managing customer accounts and transportation operations in a fast‑paced environment (preferred).
• Prior experience coordinating freight movements and working with carriers and customers (preferred).
• Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) is required.
