Job SummarySkyfish is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented assembler to join our growing production team. As part of Skyfish, you’ll collaborate with a passionate group of innovative professionals dedicated to building industry-leading autonomous drones that measure, map, and model critical infrastructure. We're a fast‑moving technology start‑up redefining how precision data is captured. In this hands‑on role, you'll be responsible for assembling drones, controllers, base stations, and related accessories – following detailed schematics, standard operating procedures, and quality assurance protocols.
- Assemble drone components with precision and adherence to established procedures
- Evaluate the quality of parts and materials used in production
- Support inventory controls by only using necessary parts and returning unused parts
- Utilize inventory management software to track job progress and maintain accurate inventory records
- Maintain and calibrate tools used in the assembly process
- Rework and service returned customer drones and internal equipment
- Assist with packing and shipping drones as needed
- Keep workstations clean and organized
- Test finished products for defects and report any defects promptly
- Provide feedback to the production manager and engineering team on faults and design flaws
- Prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently
- Comfortable navigating frequent changes, delays, and evolving priorities
- Hands‑on experience with crimping, soldering, and assembling cables and PCBs
- Prior experience in manufacturing or assembly preferred
- Preferred experience interpreting mechanical and electrical engineering drawings
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines
- Collaborative mindset with a team‑first attitude
- Excellent hand‑eye coordination and attention to detail
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods during production
