Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Pediatric

Registered Nurse (RN) Pediatrics

Status/FTE: PT / 0.4-0.6

Shift length: 12 hours

Start Time: 1900

Unit: Pediatrics

Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays): Two (2)-12hr shifts per week, every 3rd weekend

Required Qualifications
  • Current state RN license
  • Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire
  • PALS within six (6) months of hire
  • One (1) year of pediatric or recent acute care experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN
  • Pediatric certification
  • PICU experience
Responsibilities

The RN utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care of pediatric patients from admission to discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in clinical settings, acts as patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel. Knowledgeable in clinical nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents. Manages patient loads in assigned timelines.
