Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgery

$20,000 Sign‑on Bonus with a two‑year commitment. Open to external applicants who have not been previously employed by CMC in the last rolling nine months.

Status/FTE: Full Time, 0.9 FTE

Shift Length: 12 hours

Start Time: 06:30 – 19:00

Unit: Surgery

Schedule Requirements: Three 12‑hour shifts per week. Weekend call coverage required on a rotating basis. Friday evening 5:00 or 7:00 through Sunday evening 7:00. 20‑minute response time.

The RN utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care of patients from admission to the department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in the perioperative setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel. The RN is knowledgeable in all surgical procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents.

Manages patient loads within assigned timelines.

• Current state RN license
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school
• BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire
• ACLS within three months of hire
• OR RN experience required
• Recent experience within the last five years in the perioperative field
• Complete moderate sedation course within three months of hire

• CNOR certification preferred
• OR Charge Nurse experience preferred

• Charge RN and certification pay if eligible
