Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Medical-Surgical Weekender

Position Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Surgical Weekender

Location:

Community Medical Center, Missoula, MT

Annual Sign‑On Bonus: $20,000 (requires two‑year commitment).

Schedule

Full‑time, 0.8‑1.0 FTE. 12‑hour shifts starting at 1900. 3 12‑hour shifts per week, including weekends and holidays.

Core Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for acute patients from admission to discharge or transfer.
  • Provide expert nursing care and education to patients in the clinical setting.
  • Advocate for patients, lead, and mentor assistive personnel.
  • Apply knowledge of clinical procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacology.
  • Manage patient loads within assigned timelines.
Required Qualifications
  • Current state RN license.
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider on hire.
  • ACLS and NIHSS within three months of hire.
  • Minimum one year of acute care experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN degree.
  • Two to three years of acute care experience.
  • Med/Surg certification.
