On Call: 24/7 |
Schedule: May need to work occasional weekends/holidays.

Position Summary: The Director of Surgical Services directs the department’s activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.

• Develop and implement goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical objectives of the organization.
• Direct and evaluate departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
• Plan and monitor staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
• Prepare, monitor, and evaluate departmental budgets, and ensure compliance with allocated funding.
• Coordinate and direct internal and external audits.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Required Qualifications:

• Current RN license.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire.
• PALS and ACLS within six (6) months of hire.
• Five (5) years’ experience as a Surgical Services RN and as a leader at the Manager or Director level.

Additional Requirements: Subject to Drug and Alcohol Testing according to MT Law 39-2-205-39-2-211.
