Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Labor and Delivery

Registered Nurse (RN) Labor and Delivery

PT / 0.6 FTE

12 hour shift

Start Time: 1900

Unit:
Labor & Delivery

Schedule:

Two 12-hour shifts weekly, every third weekend and holidays by rotation

Required qualifications
  • Current state RN license
  • Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire
  • ACLS and NRP required within six months of hire
  • Three years of inpatient L&D experience
Preferred qualifications
  • BSN preferred
  • Five years L&D, high-risk L&D or Charge nursing experience
  • RNC-OB and/or RNC-EFM Certification
Responsibilities

The RN utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of patients from admission to the department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in the clinical setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel. The RN is knowledgeable in clinical nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents.

Manages patient loads in assigned timelines.
