Registered Nurse (RN) Surgery

$20,000 Sign‑on Bonus with a two‑year commitment to this role. Open to external applicants who have not been previously employed by CMC in the last rolling nine months.

Status/FTE:
Full‑time Days / 0.9 FTE

Shift length: 12 hours

Start Time: 0630‑1900

Unit:
Surgery

Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays):
Three 12‑hour shifts. Weekend call coverage required on a rotating basis. Friday evening 5 pm or 7 pm through Sunday evening 7 pm. 20‑minute response time.

Responsibilities

The RN utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care of patients from admission to the department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert perioperative care and education, acts as a patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel, and manages patient loads within assigned timelines.

Required Qualifications
  • Current state RN license
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire
  • ACLS within three months of hire
  • OR RN experience required
  • Recent experience within the last five years in the perioperative field
  • Complete moderate sedation course within three months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • CNOR certification preferred
  • OR Charge Nurse experience preferred
