Float between CPG Clinics (Family Practice, Surgery, Pain, Pediatrics, Infectious Disease, Acute Care Walk In, Rheumatology, etc.)
Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays):
Monday-Friday, with some weekend coverage at First Care clinics
- Current state RN license
- Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school
- BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire
- One (1) years of outpatient physician services (office nursing) experience
- BSN
Major responsibility to assist physicians with patients. This includes: greeting, escorting patients to exam rooms, taking vitals, height, weight, histories, updating medication, developing and maintaining patient education materials, preparing patient equipment and medication prescriptions for the Physician, phoning in prescription refills with Physician's approval, charting, preparing informed consent forms for invasive procedures, calling physician orders to other health provider agencies, i.e. home health, nursing home, therapists, securing x-ray films and preparing labs for the doctors, ordering clinical supplies, cleaning exam rooms, maintaining instruments, removing outdated medications, administering vaccination.
This job will also entail filling in for scribe function and occasionally patient check in and answering the phone.
