Description:

Candidates must have a minimum of one year of Medical Surgical experience. An active RN license is required. BLS certification is mandatory. This position offers day shifts, working three 12-hour shifts per week. Weekend and holiday shifts will be required. The contract length is for 13 weeks. Candidates should expect to provide care for adult and geriatric patients. The daily census is approximately 32 patients.

There are 35 beds in the unit. The unit provides interdisciplinary support from teams such as IV, Physical Therapy, and Respiratory Services. Patients typically present with diagnoses including strokes, seizures, post-craniotomy care, spinal surgeries, and total joint replacements. Experience with certified stroke care and total joint care is required. Candidates should possess skills in blood product administration, management of peripheral lines, and pre/post neurosurgery care.

Knowledge of isolation precautions and wound care practices is also essential. Travel experience is required for this position.
