The Canine Care Attendant position attends to all areas of care for the dogs that are boarding and attending daycare; providing customer service to clients in person; and maintaining and cleaning kennel areas and the play yards. The Canine Care Attendant will supervise dog play groups and manage and maintain dogs in a safe and humane way.

• Assess behavior and manage play groups based on the dog's size, play style, behavior, and other relevant factors
• Provide care, including feeding and medications, for dogs including those with special needs
• Clean and maintain kennels
• Clean and maintain play yards

• Must be reliable and have dependable transportation
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week (Full Time)
• Must be able to work at least one weekend day
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work outside in any type of weather
• Must be able to clean up bodily fluids such as fecal matter, urine, and vomit
• Must be able to manage groups of dogs including ability to break up dog fights and scuffles, if needed
• Knowledge of dog behavior
• Previous experience in animal/dog care

• Provide medications, injections, and other requirements for special needs dogs
• Knowledge of dog first aid and CPR
• Previous dog training experience

Full-time

$14.00 - $16.00 per hour

40 per week

Weekends as needed

• 10 hour shift
• 4 hour shift
• Sunday to Wednesday OR Wednesday to Saturday

High school or equivalent (Required)

• Animal care: 1 year (Required)
