Heavy Equipment Operator; Missoula

Williams Civil Construction in Missoula Montana is hiring Operators to be part of our action-packed worksites including utilities and site development. We’re looking for skilled individuals who can safely and efficiently operate a variety of equipment such as: blades, dozers, loaders, excavators, haul trucks, water trucks, etc.

• Safety is our top priority, and as an Operator, you’ll be responsible for keeping a keen eye for hazards to keep yourself and the team out of harm’s way.
• Operate a diverse range of heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, blades, haul trucks, water trucks, and dozers, for everything from precise excavation to smooth paving prep.
• Ensure safe slopes on excavations, proper barricading, and compliance with trenching and shoring standards.
• Every day presents new challenges, but you’ll tackle them head‑on – whether it’s troubleshooting equipment issues or adapting to changing site conditions, your ability to think on your feet will be invaluable.
• Travel from interstate highway to rural dirt roads from various locations.

• 2+ Years Operating Experience – Excavator / Loader / Dozer / Blade.
• Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment operations.
• Knowledge of trenching and shoring standards, aggregate sizes and classifications, and weight requirements of loads leaving the pit.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write short correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
