Missoula Surf Soccer Club, located in Missoula, Montana, is a premier youth soccer organization dedicated to promoting holistic player development and fostering community engagement. The club offers year-round programs, including introductory initiatives for young players like Surf Juniors, as well as competitive travel teams, skill clinics, and camps. With a strong focus on technical skills, tactical understanding, and personal growth, Missoula Surf prepares athletes to excel both on and off the field.
As part of the Surf National network, the club provides players with access to regional, national, and elite competitive opportunities while staying grounded in a supportive community environment.
Missoula Surf Soccer Club is seeking an energetic, dependable, and kid-focused Surf Juniors Coordinator to lead our youngest players (1st–3rd grade) through fun, engaging soccer sessions during our spring and fall seasons.
This role is all about creating a positive first experience with soccer—emphasizing movement, basic skills, confidence, and FUN. Sessions are designed to be playful and age-appropriate, helping kids build a love for the game in a supportive environment.
The Surf Juniors Coordinator will organize and run 60-minute after-school sessions Monday through Thursday, serving as a positive role model and representative of Missoula Surf.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, organize, and lead 60-minute Surf Juniors soccer sessions
- Work with children in 1st–3rd grade in a fun, safe, and encouraging environment
- Maintain a structured yet playful session flow
- Manage and care for provided equipment
- Communicate professionally with families and Missoula Surf staff
- Uphold Missoula Surf values and youth safety standards
Required:
- Ability to work confidently, patiently, and positively with young elementary-aged children
- Consistent availability during program hours:
- Thursday: 2:25–3:40 PM
- Basic knowledge of soccer fundamentals
- High energy, strong communication skills, and a positive attitude
- Reliable transportation to locations around the Missoula area
- Willingness to complete required youth safety certifications
- Experience working with children (coaching, teaching, camps, childcare, recreation programs, etc.)
- Previous soccer playing or coaching experience
- Spring Season (April–May): $1,200 total for 6 weeks
- Fall Season (September–October):
Opportunity to return for fall season
- All equipment provided by Missoula Surf
- US Club Soccer background check and Safe Sport training required (supported by the club)
