Operations Manager

Little Dumps started in Missoula to make ordering soil, gravel, mulch, and rock ridiculously easy. We’ve grown because people trust us: friendly service, no dumb questions, and reliable deliveries.

We’re looking for a Branch Manager to run day-to-day operations in Missoula - someone who can lead, problem-solve, and jump in when needed.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll be the go-to person for customers, drivers, and vendors.

• Make sure daily deliveries happen (or get rescheduled smoothly)
• Schedule drivers and manage coverage, vacations, and peak demand
• Order materials, receive semi deliveries, and keep inventory stocked
• Operate loader, mix soil, load trucks, and drive deliveries when needed

• Answer phones, texts, and emails with friendly, fast responses
• Help customers order online and adjust deliveries
• Keep customers updated and solve problems proactively
• Train and support drivers
• Communicate schedules, equipment updates, and policies
• Keep morale high and culture positive

• Basic bookkeeping tasks (receipts, bills, Quick Books categorization)
• Vendor relationships and payments
• Vehicle maintenance tracking and compliance
• Spot new revenue opportunities and process improvements

• Staff local events (Home & Garden Show, Women’s Fair, etc.)
• Represent Little Dumps around town

• Customer-first, friendly, and calm under pressure
• Organized, reliable, and great at scheduling/logistics
• Comfortable with hands-on work (equipment, trucks, yard tasks)
• Experience in operations, construction, landscaping, logistics, or similar
• Tech-comfortable and excited to improve systems
• Entrepreneurial mindset—always thinking “how can we make this better?”

• Busy Season (March–November): High demand, some weekends and off-hours required
• Off-Season (November–February): Lighter workload and flexible schedule

• Hourly: $30–$35 per hour (DOE).
