Position SummaryAs a Warehouse Inventory Associate at Sun Mountain, you will play a critical role in supporting the safe and efficient flow of materials throughout our warehouse and production operations. This position is responsible for transporting, staging, unloading, and tracking the materials needed to support production and order fulfilment.
Warehouse Inventory Associates operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move products and materials throughout company property. They work closely with production, shipping, and warehouse teams to maintain inventory accuracy, support efficient operations, and help ensure Sun Mountain products are completed and fulfilled on time.
The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to supporting a high-performing manufacturing team.
This position starts at $20/hour, with the opportunity for a higher starting wage based on the candidate’s experience and overall qualifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to transport, stage, load, and unload materials throughout the facility and company property.
- Deliver materials to production areas accurately and on time to maintain efficient workflow and minimize delays.
- Receive, move, organize, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Verify material numbers, quantities, locations, and other identifying information before completing inventory movements.
- Accurately record material transfers and inventory transactions using established systems and procedures.
- Conduct cycle counts, material verification, and inventory audits.
- Identify, investigate, document, and communicate inventory discrepancies.
- Assist with resolving inventory, location, and material-flow issues.
- Maintain organized storage and staging areas to support inventory accuracy and workplace safety.
- Inspect forklifts and other assigned equipment before use and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, inventory controls, and work instructions.
- Work closely with production, warehouse, inventory, and shipping teams to support operational goals and customer commitments.
- Communicate material shortages, discrepancies, damage, and workflow concerns to the appropriate team members or supervisor.
- Contribute ideas and participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, inventory accuracy, and productivity.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Perform additional warehouse and inventory duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse, inventory, shipping and receiving, manufacturing, or material-handling experience preferred.
- Previous forklift experience preferred.
- Experience with inventory-management or warehouse-management systems is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
- Ability to regularly lift and move materials up to 50lbs in accordance with company safety guidelines.
- Ability to safely enter, exit, and operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
