Receptionist​/Client Intake Coordinator

Position Summary

The Receptionist / Client Intake Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for neighbors seeking assistance at Second Mile Mission Center. This position creates a welcoming, respectful, and judgment-free environment while guiding neighbors through the intake process, maintaining accurate records, and connecting individuals with the appropriate programs and resources. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and able to balance excellent customer service with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

• Welcome neighbors, volunteers, and visitors with warmth, professionalism, and respect, creating a positive first impression of Second Mile.
• Manage neighbor's food appointments while explaining program guidelines, required documentation, and next steps.
• Answer phones, respond to questions, and connect neighbors with appropriate programs, services, and community resources.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information and ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with program staff to support daily operations, resolve scheduling concerns, and provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform general administrative duties, including data entry, filing, scanning, and maintaining an organized reception area.
• Support the mission and values of Second Mile by treating every neighbor with dignity, compassion, and respect.
