We are seeking experienced and reliable Heavy Equipment Operators to join our growing team. This role includes operating dozers, excavators, and finish equipment on a variety of construction projects. Candidates must be proficient with both GPS-controlled and non-GPS equipment and be willing to travel to job sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Operate heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, and finish graders safely and efficiently
- Perform fine grading, site preparation, and earthwork to meet project specifications
- Utilize GPS machine control systems for precision grading (where applicable)
- Read and interpret site plans, grade stakes, and project specifications
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Work closely with site supervisors and team members to ensure project timelines are met
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Minimum 3+ years of experience operating heavy equipment (dozer, excavator, finish equipment)
- Experience with GPS and non-GPS equipment required
- Strong understanding of grading, excavation, and site development
- Ability to read blueprints and grade stakes
- Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required)
- Must be willing and able to travel frequently
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Experience with Topcon, or similar GPS systems
- Previous work on commercial or large-scale civil construction projects
- Ability to work in varying weather and job site conditions
