Certified Medication Aid

POSITION SUMMARY:

Assist licensed nurses in providing care and services by performing the necessary skills to ensure residents' needs are met and they maintain the highest level of functioning. Position available in the nursing center, independent and assisted living areas.

POSITION

QUALIFICATIONS:

This individual will possess the following:

• Must be available to work weekends

• Must be flexible

• Must willingly demonstrate the ability to work in a team-oriented environment

• Must demonstrate initiative and be a self-starter with job duties assigned

• Knowledge of electronic medical records

• Have at least 1 year of experience working with Seniors preferred

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Interest in working with an aging population requiring physical assistance

• Experience as a primary caregiver or relevant training as a care provider

• Ability to work the defined schedule for this position which may include weekends and holidays

License/Certification:

• CMA (Required)

• Must be certified by the State of Texas in nurse aide training and be current on the State

• Nurse Aide registry (DADS or TULIP Registry)

• Must be a certified medication assistant (CMA) and current by the State of Texas via TULIP.

• Must have a current CPR card

Shift availability:

• Day Shift (Preferred)

• Night Shift (Preferred)
