Overview
E-commerce Technical Specialist
Location
Greater Houston Area
- SKU Management: Organize, manage, and maintain product SKUs within Shopify. Ensure accurate product listings, pricing, variants, and inventory to support a smooth customer experience.
- E-commerce Development: Develop, customize, and optimize Shopify sites using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Improve performance, usability, and conversion-focused features.
- Content Management: Manage and update product pages, collections, blogs, landing pages, and other site content across Shopify and Word Press.
- App & Plugin Integration: Evaluate, integrate, and maintain third-party Shopify apps to extend functionality while maintaining site speed and stability.
- Automation & Scripting: Use APIs, scripts, and platform tools to automate repetitive tasks, improve workflows, and support internal teams.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve technical issues across storefronts, themes, apps, and integrations. Provide hands-on support to internal stakeholders.
- Analytics, SEO & Optimization: Monitor site performance, traffic, and conversion metrics. Support SEO best practices including site structure, page speed, metadata, and technical SEO improvements.
- Marketing & Campaign Support: Collaborate with marketing teams to support campaigns, promotions, launches, and landing pages. Provide technical input to improve execution and results.
Preferred Background & Experience
Required:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Shopify and Ecommerce Businesses
- Strong proficiency in Liquid, HTML, CSS, and Java Script
- Experience working with APIs, third-party apps, and integrations
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have:
- Background or personal interest in 3D printing, additive manufacturing, or technical products
- Experience supporting digital marketing initiatives, promotions, or go-to-market campaigns
- Working knowledge of SEO optimization and technical SEO best practices
- Familiarity with UI/UX tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, or similar design tools
- Comfort collaborating with designers or making light design edits independently
- Experience using AI tools to improve productivity, content workflows, analysis, or development tasks
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, web development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Detail-oriented and organized, but not precious about perfection. Comfortable owning problems end-to-end and figuring things out without hand-holding. Technically strong, but curious about marketing, strategy, and customer experience. Able to move fast in a growing, sometimes messy environment. Genuinely interested in modern e-commerce, automation, and emerging technologies.
