Dog Groomer, Missouri City, TX

We are looking to recruit an experienced dog groomer for our store in Missouri City. Please only apply if your Resume demonstrates relevant experience.

Salary:
Groomers work on a commission basis.

Tips:
Groomers receive all their tips with no deductions by the employer.

Schedule:

Flexible working hours and schedule in agreement with the Manager.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years' experience in dog grooming.

Comfortable working with anxious animals.

Ability to stand for long periods and lift large dogs over 60 pounds.

Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with pet owners.

Knowledge of animal care, handling techniques, and dog training principles is beneficial.

Ability to work with various breeds and temperaments of animals in a calm and professional manner.

Certification in pet grooming or completion of a recognized grooming program is an advantage but not mandatory.

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude.

A genuine passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing high-quality care.

Work with minimum supervision and respect the grooming schedule to complete a grooming session.

Duties:

Washing, clipping, drying and styling dogs’ coats, skin checks for parasites and rashes, trim nails, clean teeth and ears and express anal glands as needed.

Execute a variety of clipping techniques and style requests.

Examine for parasites or other skin conditions.

Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment by following hygiene protocols.

Manage pets with care and compassion, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.

Keep accurate records of services provided and any notable observations regarding the pets' health or behavior.

Communicate effectively and compassionately with pet owners to ensure we satisfy their requirements.
