The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing all outbound and inbound shipments, with a strong emphasis on Fed Ex shipping processes. This role ensures accurate, timely, and cost‑effective shipment of packages, including preparing documentation, labeling, and coordinating pickups. The position also involves receiving incoming goods, verifying accuracy, and maintaining organized inventory records. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, tech‑savvy, and experienced with Fed Ex shipping systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process outbound shipments using Fed Ex Ship Manager or related systems, ensuring accuracy in weight, dimensions, and service selection.
• Package and label shipments in accordance with Fed Ex requirements to prevent damage and ensure timely delivery.
• Schedule daily Fed Ex pickups and coordinate with carriers to meet shipping deadlines.
• Track shipments and proactively resolve delivery issues, delays, or discrepancies.
• Maintain shipping records, including bills of lading, tracking numbers, and customer notifications.
• Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damage, and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Accurately enter receiving and shipping data into inventory or ERP systems.
• Organize and store incoming materials in designated warehouse locations.
• Communicate with internal teams (production, customer service, purchasing) regarding shipment status and priorities.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and carrier regulations, including hazardous materials (if applicable).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping/receiving area.
• Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and general warehouse support as needed.
• Follow all safety protocols and report any hazards or incidents.
• Other duties as assigned.
