Material Handler, Forklift Operator, Warehouse Associate, Distribution/ General Warehouse
The Material Handler position will be located at our Missouri City, TX location. This position is responsible for safely handling, moving and storing various non-hazardous and hazardous materials within a warehouse. Their main duties include loading and unloading different transport items, recording inventory statuses and making sure deliveries properly match purchase orders.
- Perform duties to receive, store, and issue finished goods. This role, you will receive, process, and prepare parts, supplies, and finished products for shipment.
- Assist warehouse staff in retrieving specified parts from storage as per the work orders.
- Unbox/Unpack parts for production team.
- Organize warehouse parts and ensure they are placed in proper locations.
- Perform all duties necessary to maintain warehouse cleanliness, which includes sweeping, decluttering, and removing trash daily.
In addition, you will:
- Work from documents, instructions, and procedures under general supervision
- Receive, identify, count, mark, locate, store, and issue finished goods.
- Select proper container and packaging material.
- Take inventory as required.
- Operate forklift, sit down, and/or stand-up equipment.
- Use CRT, computer, packaging machines, scales, postage meters, and other departmental equipment.
- Wear protective clothing / safety equipment as required.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of fork truck experience
- Minimum 5 years warehouse, shipping/packing experience
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Sound knowledge of standard warehouse practices
- The ability to work well as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects within company policy.
