We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, self-motivated individual to join our growing team as a Staff Accountant. This is not an entry level role, and the ideal candidate will need the drive to expand their financial and technological duties. You will be responsible for various financial functions including monthly financial statements, invoicing, GL account reconciliations, and closing entries. You will also be cross trained to back up payroll, accounts payable, and assisting with collections.

The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of accounting principles, strong organizational skills, and a drive to take on expanded financial duties.

• Prepare monthly financial statements.
• Maintain monthly GL account reconciliations, closing entries, and annual insurance renewals.
• Cross-train to back up payroll, accounts payable, and collections.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and update ledgers as needed.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist others with Excel spreadsheet and Great Plains issues.
• Handle other accounting and administrative tasks assigned.

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and collections.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• High level of discretion and confidentiality with personal and business information.
• Positive, solutions-oriented attitude and comfort in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Quick Books, and Microsoft Dynamics GP is preferred.
• Candidates must currently reside within daily commuting distance of Maryland Heights, MO 63146. Only local candidates will be considered.
