About this RoleThe Accountant (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). accounting work in the processing and analysis of receipts, identifying issues related to program needs, maintaining cooperative relations, interpreting laws and procedures, and communicating effectively.
Key duties include:
- Gathering data and applying generally accepted accounting principles with automated accounting systems.
- Processing Short Doyle Medi-Cal void and disallowed claims using statewide accounting systems.
- Creating and processing manual accounts receivable invoices.
Professional office setting in the East End Complex (EEC) near the State Capitol. Telework is available up to three days per week and a minimum of two in‑person days per week.
Responsibilities- Process and verify accounts receivable invoices.
- Reconcile receipts with general ledger entries.
- Analyze and resolve discrepancies in claims.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Communicate findings with internal stakeholders.

Desirable Qualifications- Effective planning, organization, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to adapt to multiple changing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

- Team orientation with independent work capability.
Eligible for up to three days of telework per week. Salary range reflects current designation and does not include temporary reductions under the Personal Leave Program 2025.
