What do we need?

We are looking for highly motivated individuals, who have an energetic and positive attitude. The ideal candidate would have at least one-year experience in Dealership Accounting position. This candidate has a background in accounting and is comfortable with intercompany accounting. So, if you are a team player and can work with limited supervision, which can perform quality and detailed work, this is the job for you.

Job Title: Accounting Specialist

Reports to: Office Manager

Salary Range: $19.00 to $22.00, depending on experience

Job Type: (Fulltime) (non-exempt)

PURPOSE: The Accounting Specialist supports accounting operations by reconciling statements and maintaining accounting records.

Essential Duties - Accounting:

• Daily deposit receiving and reconciling for Sales, Parts and Service departments
• Processing / costing New and Used car sales including Wholesales and Dealer Trades
• Stocking in New Vehicle Inventory
• Receiving and creating receipts for all incoming Accounts Receivable payments
• Posting Manufacturer Invoices received on a weekly basis

Essential Duties - Scanning:

• Scan parts and service invoices
• Assist other positions in the business office during vacation periods, illness or when the office is in a peak-load situation
• Other duties as assigned by Management
• Must follow company safety policies and practices, and report immediately any accidents to a Manager/Supervisor
• Maintain and reconcile schedules

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Automobile Accounting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of accounting procedures.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• One year of experience in a dealership position.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Professional personal appearance.

Training Requirements:

• Receive continuous training in accounting processes.
• Must complete all manufacturers' required courses.
• Must attend all company required courses.
