Accounts Payable​/Operations Clerk

Description Robert Half Finance & Accounting Contract Talent is currently seeking an experienced AP Clerk to join our client's team on a contract-to-permanent basis. This position has become available due to an increased workload and offers a fantastic opportunity for growth within the company.

Summary of Position:

The AP Clerk will play a crucial role in managing the company's accounts payable process. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include processing invoices, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely payments. Key Responsibilities:

Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper coding.

Manage vendor inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationships.

Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies.

Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.

Assist in month-end closing by providing necessary documentation and reports.

Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.

Qualifications:

Experience:

2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.

Skills:

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Education:

High school diploma required; an associate degree in accounting or related field is preferred.

Soft Skills/Personality:
Dependable, with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with some flexibility.

- Knowledge of business casual workplace etiquette and conduct characterized by attention to detail.
