Job Overview
California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) is seeking a Senior Tax Auditor (Associate Tax Auditor, Board of Equalization). Salary range: $6,646.00 - $8,740.00 per month.

Under the direction of the Supervising Tax Auditor, the Associate Tax Auditor independently conducts audits of retailers in the restaurant and cannabis industry and other business enterprises. Duties include performing fraud and tax‑evasion audits, making audit appointments, meeting with taxpayers and their representatives, explaining audit findings, preparing audit reports, and writing correspondence to taxpayers. The role may require travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight stays.
Minimum RequirementsApplicants must meet the minimum qualifications specified in the Classification Specification for the Associate Tax Auditor, Board of Equalization.
