PrimaryFunction
The Sr. Accounting Practitioner is under broad supervision, responsible for preparing and verifying vendor invoices for goods and services, ensuring that invoices are issued and paid on a timely basis. Occasionally the role may also process employee reimbursement requests and produce complex reports.
Responsibilities- Reviews and verifies vendor invoices to ensure accuracy.
- Create and enter invoices into the financial system.
- Ensures prompt payment.
- Research and resolve accounts payable issues with vendors.
- Prepare ad‑hoc information and statistical breakdowns as directed.
- Scan AP invoices.
- Process payments, invoices, and vouchers.
- Verify calculations, check or allocate codes, and obtain information for incorrect or incomplete documents.
- Scan statements, ledgers and accounts to identify unusual or overdue items.
- Prepare and/or verify computer input where information is coded for processing.
- Investigate statements, ledgers, and records to establish the facts required to address queries.
- Collaborate internally with Site Services Planner, Equipment Managers, the Accounting Department, the Supply Chain organization, and project teams.
- Understand and have knowledge of contract agreements.
- Work with vendors, subcontractors, dealers, maintenance shops, jobsite personnel, internal and external customers, and other third parties for invoice reviews and addressing discrepancies.

- Associate’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related role.
- Expertise in both accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
- Close attention to detail.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- CMiC experience a plus.
- Knowledge of construction accounting a plus.
- Basic understanding of sales and use tax.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook; experience with CMIC preferred.
Salary to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and market alignment. For Missouri, this ranges from $52,000.00 to $75,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program. Next 150 Construction offers an excellent total compensation package with competitive health, welfare, and a generous profit‑sharing/401(k) plan.
