We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Specialist to join our finance team.

Position Summary

The Accounting Specialist will play a key role in the financial operations of our company. This position is responsible for handling various accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payment of vendor bills;
    Manage customer invoicing, collections, and reconcile accounts receivable;
    Maintain accurate records of all transactions and prepare related reports.
  • General Ledger Management: Assist in maintaining the general ledger by posting journal entries and performing account reconciliations;
    Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records in accordance with GAAP;
    Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts;
    Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings;
    Assist in budget preparation and financial planning processes.
  • Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures;
    Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations;
    Stay updated on relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reports;
    Maintain organized and up-to-date financial files and records;
    Provide support to the finance team and other departments as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

    Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.
