Job Overview
Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor) – Department of Social Services. Salary $7,172.00 to $8,910.00 per month. Final filing date 6/25/2026.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee two Associate Administrative Analysts, Accounting Systems; three Associate Accounting Analysts; two Accountant Trainees/Accounting Officers, Specialists; and one Student Assistant in labor distribution and cost allocation tasks.
- Manage complex tasks and assignments related to labor distribution, cost allocation processes, and database programs for automated entry of accounting data.
- Assist Accounting Administrator II in developing, implementing, and maintaining FI$Cal to support daily operational needs, query and data extraction improvements, and FI$Cal month‑end and year‑end processes.
- Collaborate with Accounting and Fiscal Systems Branch on FI$Cal month‑end and year‑end procedures.
- Utilize automated time reporting system and other tools to streamline cost allocation, ensuring compliance with federal methodology and budget guidelines.
- Provide financial reports and analysis to stakeholders and end‑users.

- Work Location:
Hybrid (telework permissible). - Employment Type:
Permanent, Full Time. - Resident of California required.
- Eligible for telework in accordance with Governor Executive Order N‑22‑25.
- Strong working knowledge of FI$Cal modules and processes.
- Strong working knowledge of state accounting.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work well under pressure, using sound judgment.
- Ability to manage staff and workload to meet competing deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and automated accounting systems.
- Knowledge of Power BI is preferable.
- Public transit passes: 100 % discount and 100 % reimbursement up to monthly IRS exclusion amount.
